If you’ve been keeping up with the latest eyebrow trends, you know microblading has seen a major downshift lately and brow lamination is the look to try. What is brow lamination exactly? “It’s a treatment that relaxes and straightens the brow hairs so that they can be easily repositioned into a full, lifted shape,” says Jared Bailey, global brow expert for Benefit Cosmetics, which offers a Brow Lamination service at its Brow Bars. “Because brow lamination removes the natural bend or curve of the hair, it helps give the illusion of fullness for six to eight weeks.” However, if you’re not ready to commit to the salon service or just want to experiment with the trend on your own terms, these at-home brow lamination products can help you achieve the laminated look.

Grande Cosmetics GrandeBROW-LAMINATE Brow Styling Gel with Peptides ($22)

A brand-new launch from Grande Cosmetics, this clear brow-styling gel goes above and beyond to also condition your brow hairs as you wear it thanks to the addition of myristoyl pentapeptide-17. It gives the brows 12-hour hold, and we love that it comes with a dual-ended Pro Brow Styler Brush, so you have everything you need to nail the look.

REFY Brow Sculpt ($22)

What we love most about this vegan product—the perfect mix of a clear wax and gel—is that comes house in a tube that contains two different types of brushes on the end, in addition to the spoolie. This allows you to apply the formula and then sculpt and set your brows with a clean brush on the other end, as not to risk over-applying the gel.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Laminated Look Brow Kit ($24)

If don’t already have a beloved brow pencil, marker or other tint at home, or you’re in the mood to try something new, this kit gives you both steps. First, you apply the waterproof Brow Pen, which lets you draw on tiny hair-like strokes to fill in sparse spots and comes in five shades, from Taupe to Ebony. Then you apply the brand’s award-winning Brow Freeze (it comes with a mini version), which will lock your feathery-looking brows in place for the whole day.

Milk Makeup KUSH Brow Lamination Gel ($24)

This clear gel is great for beginners who are new to the laminated look because though the formula lifts and sets the brows, it feels a little more flexible than some others and lasts up to eight hours (versus 12 or more). The brush contains both long and short bristles, which the brand designed for even application, but it also recommends that the user gently press the shorter bristles down onto the brows for 10 seconds to set the gel in place.

Brow Code Lustre Lamination Kit ($80)

Made in Italy, this comprehensive kit is the closest product we’ve found to an actual salon brow lamination service. It’s great for the brow pro who feels comfortable with the lamination trend, knows the look they want and is ready to commit. If you follow each step properly, as well as the recommended aftercare protocol, your results can last six to eight weeks. You can also use the kit up to five times, which makes it a really great value compared to salon treatments.

Patrick Ta Major Brow Lamination Gel ($27)

Celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta knows how to create great brows, which is proof when you see his clientele (he’s worked with everyone from Rihanna and Ariana Grande to several of the Kardashians). This strong-hold, peptide-infused gel is meant to be used on clean brows—Ta says that if the clear gel mixes with powder or foundation, it can create a white residue. One side of the brush is flat, which is meant to be used to press the brow hairs into place once they’re combed into the desired position and shape.

Benefit Cosmetics 24-HR Brow Setter Clear Eyebrow Gel ($26)

When it comes to brow lamination products, some can be a bit intimating. This one’s not only long-lasting—In an instrumental test, this clear gel kept the brows in place for a whopping 24 hours!—it’s super easy to use.

The dual-sided, custom-molded wand (bristles on one side and a flat side for pressing hairs into place) lifts and smooths and the formula doesn’t get flaky, even at the end of the day. If you want to switch back and forth between the laminated look and a more natural-looking, feathery one, fluff up your brows, but don’t press them down.
